Ecological Mitigation Strategy
Based on site survey work by canopy or others, our Ecological Mitigation Strategy addresses all necessary work associated with the protection, translocation and habitat enhancement of protected, or otherwise important, species on the development site. This includes liaison with the Local Planning Authority ecologist, Natural England and DEFRA, as appropriate.
canopy also deal with all specific licence applications, where necessary (such as a licence to disturb badgers or translocate great crested newt), and also act as licensee thereafter, remaining responsible for on-site implementation and monitoring. Our Ecological Mitigation Strategy is presented as a written report including photographs, phasing timetables, detail specification drawings (such as construction of reptile exclusion fencing) and method statements, alongside full colour AutoCAD drawings illustrating key protection and enhancement measures.
