Habitat Management Plan

Based on site survey work and usually presented alongside an Ecological Mitigation Strategy our Habitat Management Plan addresses all necessary work associated with the maintenance and enhancement of existing habitat on site - usually for a period of ten years - as well as the creation of any new habitat. This includes liaison with the Local Planning Authority ecologist, Natural England and DEFRA, as appropriate.

A habitat management plan is likely to be necessary when it is proposed to retain protected or important species or habitat as part of development, but may also be used to demonstrate biodiversity gain through creation of new habitat, such as new water features, a wildflower meadow or bat boxes and roosts in buildings.

Our Habitat Management Plan is presented as a written report including photographs, detail specification drawings (such as location and construction of bat roosts in buildings) and method statements, alongside full colour AutoCAD drawings illustrating key management and enhancement measures.
