Phase 1 Ecology Survey
An initial, on-site assessment of wildlife at a site, with particular emphasis on protected species and habitats. Usually a prerequisite in support of development proposals involving more sensitive sites, to satisfy the initial requirements of PPS9 (Planning Policy Statement 9, Biodiversity and Geological Conservation), this survey will identify whether or not there is a 'reasonable likelihood' of protected species being present. Presented as a written report including a schedule of flora and fauna species observed, alongside a full colour AutoCAD drawing illustrating the key ecological features of the site. Our Phase 1 Ecology Surveys are also designed to dovetail with a subsequent Code for Sustainable Homes Ecology Report.
